My name is Derrick and I graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Degree in Accountancy (Distinction). I have always looked into building a career path in the financial services industry and understanding the language of business to develop a deeper appreciation about the finer nuances that drive businesses forward. From macroeconomic views to company analysis, I found myself intrigued by the complexity of the financial world and global markets. Having also a keen interest in technology and building things, I read a lot about topics ranging from startups, payments, fintech and gadgets. I have experience working in consulting firms, the world's largest private wealth manager, and at a fast-growing technology startup. All these experiences are integral in launching Betterspider.
