After a short hiatus, BigFatPurse is back! I hope you do miss the posts 🙂
I have completed the first draft of my book. It would have to go through the process of editing and consultation with the interviewees for their respective sections.
I have not really nailed down the title of the book. Tentatively, I have put it as “The Hard Truths About Trading”. The subtitle would be “Interviews with 9 Singaporean Traders”.
What do you think? I bet you would say I borrowed Mr Lee Kwan Yew’s book, “Hard Truths”. There is no intention of publicity stunts but to really bring the right perspective to trading as a vocation and not a get rich quick avenue. Hence I find hard truths the apt depiction.
[Free Ebook] How should you invest your first $20,000?
We asked 14 Singapore finance bloggers to share what they would do if they could go back in time and invest their first $20,000. They can no longer rewind time, but you can learn from their experience and hopefully start with a better footing.
Who are the 9 traders you might ask. Assuming they are agreeable with the content, the 9 traders are (not in order of merit):
Yeo Keong Hee – Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group
Binni Ong – TerraSeeds Market Technicians
Nicholas Tan – Author of “Handbook on Forex Trading”
Clarence Ong – T3B Holdings
Keane Lee – T3B Holdings
Conrad Alvin Lim – Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group
Tom Yuen – SGX Academy Trainer
Patrick Lee – SGX Academy Trainer
Dave Foo – Author of “Handbook on Options Trading”
Would you like to know what they have shared?
At the current moment, I only had the intention to publish an ebook. I am deliberating whether to publish a hard copy book. Which would you prefer? Would an ebook be better with the proliferation of tablets and ebook readers? Or Singaporeans are still not ready to embrace this change and a physical book would be more appropriate?
Next, I would like to announce there will be several changes to this blog. I have decided to redesign the blog to make navigation better, to enable readers to find past interesting posts easier. The focus of the blog will be shifted as well. I used to have 3 main categories, “Investment”, “Personal Finance” and “Success”. I realized that I spent most of my time blogging on trading and investing. Hence, there will only be these 2 categories in the future, providing better focus and relevance to you.
I hooe you feel the excitement as with the upcoming book and projects. As I am typing this post, the changes are already in progress. We should see the new face and the book in July. Stay tune.
